A gas detection system is only as good as its layout and its ventilation sequence. We design and install complete CO and NO2 systems for enclosed parking garages, warehouses and commercial buildings, and we commission them so the fans do what the code and the design intended.
What a turn-key installation covers

Why layout is the part that gets it wrong
Carbon monoxide does not pool the way people assume, and detection is driven by where exhaust actually collects: near ramps, at idle points, at the ends of runs with poor airflow. We have walked into buildings with plenty of sensors, all of them mounted where nothing happens. The result reads clean while the problem area never trips a fan.
Ventilation control, not just detection
Enclosed garages must be mechanically ventilated, and code allows the fans either to run continuously or to be operated automatically by CO detection. That second path is the reason to install a system at all: with working detection and VFDs, fans run at reduced speed most of the time instead of full speed all the time. New construction and existing buildings
We work from drawings with general contractors and mechanical engineers on new construction, and we retrofit occupied buildings without shutting the garage. If your existing equipment is at end of life rather than broken, see retrofit and replacement.
After handover
Installation is the start of a system’s life, not the end. Sensors need calibration on the manufacturer’s schedule from day one, and the code requires annual testing regardless. Most customers put the building on an agreement at handover so the first compliance date is already covered.
Common questions
How many sensors does a garage need?
It depends on airflow, ceiling height, layout and vehicle patterns rather than square footage alone, but each sensor typically covers 5,000 to 10,000 square feet. We lay out the design before quoting.
Do you install the ventilation controls too?
Yes. We install and program the panel, the interlocks to the exhaust fans, VFD integration where it applies, and any horns or strobes, then commission the whole sequence.
How long does an installation take?
Most enclosed garages are a one to three day installation depending on sensor count and conduit runs. Occupied garages stay in use throughout.
Do you provide documentation for inspection?
Yes. Every installation is handed over with a sensor location plan, setpoints, commissioning results and a service report suitable for the fire department.
